Sorry I have been gone!

Hello!!

Well I am back!  Sorry to be away so long, but I have been busy crafting (when your on a roll, gotta keep moving) and my hubby and I took the kids to the mountains for some "snow" time!  Lots of fun snowboarding and skiing. 

I on the other hand, have a bum knee so I decided to use my time creating....look at what I made!  Its for a dear friend for her new baby! 

Here is the front of the book!  I will put a picture of the baby smack in the middle...now as a mom of 2 boys, I have to say I had a fabulous time doing a "girly' project!  

 

Pages 2 and 3 look like a pennant which is so popular right now and there are spots for 4 pictures.

           Page 4 is actually a pocket, I am going to put tags in the pocket with the babies weight and length and birthday, etc.  

           I have to say I love, love, love the flowers.....

 and this my friends is the back of the book!

Now, I know you are asking - Yes everything is Close to my Heart product.  

Its the Topstich Level 2 Paper Pack and the Topstich My Stickease.  

Sorry, both are retired :(

I bought them months ago because as I could envision that paper perfectly for this project!  

I will update more in the next few days.  Stay tuned.

Hi there!

I just wanted to add 2 more photos of cards I have recently made.  I used the NEW Paper Pack called WINGS and I LOVE it!   I love the Black, Vineyard Berry, Sweet Leaf, with that little hint of Juniper....ahhh.  Just gorgeous colors together!  And again I had to use the dress form from the January Stamp of the Month, Find Your Style.  its growing on me :)

I used Pearl Opaques, the NEW Black Button Brads and Ribbon from the NEW Black Mini-Medley Accents.  They are adorable!  So cute, they look like mini buttons!!!  For only $4.95 you get 1 yard of the grosgrain ribbon, 2 square metal tags, 4 photo clips, 3 corduroy brads, 12 button brads, 12 brads and 8 buttons(2 sizes) WOW!  And as you know, black goes with everything!


But I also used the shoe from the January SOTM set!  How fun is this!

Now I used glitter on the shoe and for some reason it looks green here??? (Weird!)  In person it just looks glittery and sparkly!
Again I used the Wings Paper pack and the Black button brads.  Love them!  I printed the card base with the wording prior to stamping.  Everything else is CTMH.

Spray Pen Unplugged

Here is a video on how to use the NEW Close To My Heart Spray Pen.  What I love about it, is how easy it is to use and the cost!  You can get a pack of 3 for only $3.95 How great is that, and oh so affordable.  What a great tool and so much fun.  I am hoping to post a picture of my artwork with the Spray Pen in the next few days.

January Stamp of the Month

Hi Friday night!

I wanted to post a picture of a card I have been working on.  When I first saw the January Stamp of the Month, I thought....hhhmmm, not really me....

then out of the blue, the dress form spoke to me...

it said to me....

I need to be brown and pink!  

from that moment I just knew what I had to do!

So I did and here is what I came up with, 

I call it Beautiful!

So I don't have the new Paper Pack Wings yet....hopefully tomorrow...

Come on FED -X!  Pretty please ;)

But since the dress form spoke to me in brown and pink, here is what I used instead.

Paper: CTMH More to Adore Level 2 Paper Pack(retired)

Inks: CTMH Chocolate and Blush

Misc: CTMH Opaques,  CTMH Chocolate ribbon, 3D tape, 

Tombow adhesive, CTMH Liquid Glass

Stamp: Find your Style January SOTM

Now, look at the adorable rose in the lower right corner, that is inspired by

a fellow CTMH consultant, the talented Tracey Mason.

My first post!

Hellooo, is anyone out there?  Hehehe, maybe some day there will be :)  Welcome to the 1st day of my blog.  My dear husband has said for months that I should start a blog, so I took the leap and out of the blue created my blog site today.  I titled it, home is where my story begins, because for me personally, everything I do in life revolves around my home, well maybe more like the people that are in our home.  My world revolves around my children, my husband, our dog, our business, our extended family...you get the point.  So beginning today, this blog will be about all of the things that make me happy, from photography, to cooking, to home designs, to my stress reliever and favorite thing, Close to my Heart!  I have been an independent consultant for this wonderful company for just under a year now and have loved every minute of it. My hope is that this blog will inspire me to create layouts and cards and other items on a regular basis and for once allow me to show these "little pieces of me" to someone other than my children and my husband.  I think they are getting used to saying, ahhh, and ohhh, when really they are thinking oh, please...not again.  hehe!  So sit back, relax and get ready to enjoy the ride, from my home to yours!  Dani
